Four Years of Student Trips
Watch the video for an overview of what we do on the trip.
Thank you for your interest in the 4-day Washington, D.C. student trip led by Aurora High School teachers.
Aurora High School Seniors and Junior students are invited to participate in a trip to Washington, DC from Sunday, April 26-Wednesday, April 29, 2020. This will be counted as a school activity (& as such you must be a student at Aurora High School at the time of travel, or a parent/guardian of a student going on the trip) and all procedures in the school handbook apply. The trip will be guided by Miss Klawonn and Mr. Peterson.
A sample itinerary for the trip is listed on the Itinerary page of this website. The cost of the trip is yet to be finalized. In order to allow us to purchase the airline tickets as soon as possible and for the best available price we are requiring a $400 non-refundable deposit per participant by Monday, September 30. Your deposit is credited against the total trip cost. The total trip cost will cover your airline tickets, hotel stay, public transportation, admission for all of our activities, and most meals. Final payment is due March 11, 2020.
You need to make sure that you pack only what will fit in a carry-on bag as the cost does not cover baggage fees and we do not want to waste valuable time at a baggage claim stop in the airports. In addition, we recommend that all participants bring granola bars or something similar for breakfast/snacks and money to pay for other meals and any souvenirs that they may want as those things are not included in the cost.
